ARTIST STATEMENT

Currently residing in Mishawaka, Indiana Brandon has been perfecting his drawing and skills since the age of 7 years old when he found himself inspired by the cartoon characters his older brother used to draw.  He would take credit for his brother’s drawings at school.  Once his brother started hiding his artwork – he got serious about his own skills at 10 years old.  The youngest of 5 boys – Brandon’s mother was his biggest fan, constantly encouraging him to sharpen his artistic abilities.  At 15 he fell in love with sketching portraits of people.  With no formal training he continues to grow in his knowledge of artistic techniques and expand upon incorporating a variety of mediums into his work.  Brandon frequently donates portraits to families who have lost loved ones and is an avid supporter of Cancer Awareness.
